Only In America.

Being able to go to America this summer was an absolute dream, the country is so beautiful! This time I went to Boston and New York City, and it is now in my life plan for where I am going to live. I can't actually begin to describe the feeling of excitement I had endured just being in America let alone 'the Big Apple!'
When we arrived at Penn station, i was so overwhelmed that we was about to spend the day In New York, it was our main priority... Ok my main priority go have Breakfast at Tiffany's, so having to walk up from west 34th street all the way to to the top of 5th, passing the New York public library, The Empire State Building and all the high class shops we finally made it, feeling relief and regret that we didn't get a cab. Ok we didn't exactly have breakfast at Tiffany's but I was there and it was amazing and I felt even more special that I was wearing my Tiffany key!
From Tiffany's we went to see the gorgeous models at Abercrombie and Fitch and after grabbing a photo with my new boyfriend, I got to hail my first cab...TO TIMES SQUARE! Hard rock cafe, lids, Bubba Gump Shrimp, M&M world, the Disney store and Forever 21 in other words... perfection! But it was nothing compared to Sacs 5th avenue and Macy's! Ah it was such a tiring day but that was only day 2 of our holiday, we went shopping, played glow in the dark mini golf, did more shopping, went to the theme park Six Flags twice and my favourite thing; I got my earheart! It's this unusual piercing that I've never seen before back home in England, I got it done in the place they were invented, Haven body arts in North Hampton, Boston MA. It's so beautiful and everyone I've shown has been so interested and surprised and the best thing about it is that I can only get it changed there so yay more holidays to the US!

Personalized Converse.

During the summer i got extremely bored, and being the creative person i am, i decided to personalize my own converse which i think are pretty cute. I know its not the first to be done as they have been quite popular with all the 'TOWIE' stars but the designers who customize the shoes for them have their prices extortionately high! Regular teenagers couldn't afford to spend £130 on a pair of trainers that aren't really meant for everyday use, so with that i decided to make my own!

Since wearing these out i have had so many compliments and the surprised expression on their faces when i said i personalized them myself, it isn't hard... its rather therapeutic actually. Also when i went to america in the summer they all had the same reaction; 'oh my gosh, where did you get your sneakers from?' I remember that making my day, but i reckon they were more surprised over my accent because they probably weren't expecting it!

(So if anyone wants me to design and personalize converse or vans or any shoes, send me a message and i shall get back to you as soon as i can)

May I Introduce Myself.

Hello to whoever may be reading my first post; i am only 5 ft' 2 and i'm 17, the last age of a childhood before being classed as something i am not ready for. People say that fashion is what you adopt when you don't know who you are, it must mean I've been lost in fashion my whole life. Even though i am still young and i have yet to learn the meaning of life, feeling involved in something so large and so popular in this world doesn't make me feel i am a part of a trend but i am a trend, my own trend.
I drink lots of tea, in any weather, i adore blazers and i wish i didn't i have no more room in my wardrobe for them. I spend far too long deciding what to wear, if i haven't found an outfit in 20 minutes i enter myself into a self-inflicted panic-frenzy which ends up me emptying my entire wardrobe onto my bed. I worry way to much, even though i know i shouldn't. I would LOVE to make my own clothes, having those one-offs where if people liked it, they would come to you asking where you got it from then having the excitement of saying 'i made it' would just be great. Even though i have designed a ton on outfits, just never got round to making any. Shame that. I prefer chunky heels to thin ones and i like wearing socks so that they hide my abnormally skinny ankles. As well as fashion i love photography, because they both allow you to scream individuality, you cannot look in a direction where fashion photography isn't in front of you, from the way your passport photo has to be to a photo with your friends where you have to be on a certain side or you wont look your best for the picture. Fashion is a revolution, its a stamp that everyone can use in their own way.
I like to think i am organised, if i don't plan my day then that probably means i lounge on the sofa watching pointless TV and eating junk food. I have an uncontrollable love for Audrey Hepburn and her classic films, my favourite being Breakfast at Tiffany's and Roman Holiday.

If i am not searching for my next fashion buy or if i haven't got my head buried in a book then i am listening to my music. There is not a day that goes by that i don't listen to my music, Coldplay in general. Seeing them live was the best night of my life! Despite the fiasco of forgetting the tickets and once almost getting to central London having to drive all the way back to Thanet where i live. That was a nightmare. That day i wasn't very organised. When i listen to music, i either make up dance routines in my head and forget them straight away or i make videos of me and my friends doing wacky things.

I love to cook, especially cakes. Its a hidden talent of mine, many people have said that's what i should do in a career especially all the customers in my mothers pub, i've baked things for them al my life, from sausage rolls to cupcakes but its just a talent, not a passion. 'If something doesn't excite you, its not worth doing' that's what i think anyway. I am a perfectionist, people say its OCD but i just like things to look nice, even if it has taken me hours to present things well.

I rarely partake in sports, but thanks to my dad skiing is the only one I've ever been passionate about, I've tried squash and tennis, well cheaper sports really. But no, its hard having expensive taste... its annoying too. I've been skiing every year for the past 13 years and every year it gets better! My skiing tune is Midnight City by M83. I also love looking at the fashion, you can really tell a part the rich teens to the families and then the people wearing the crazy neon hats!
I believe in love and love at first sight, i am just a hopeless romantic that never learns after getting my heart broken, i also believe in that happily ever after, I'm a sucker for things like that. But when you have friends like i do, well its impossible for me to stay sad for long! My best is like my family and I love my family, they are my back bone. Like everyone, i don't know what i would do without them.
I see my blog as an online diary, even if i am the only one reading it but I've always wanted to keep a diary but when i write for so long it tends to get untidy and that annoys me. I also am not photogenic so i don't like photos of  me unless they are edited.
